The DCybSec program enables students to merge doctoral research with the curriculum of a Master of Cyber Security (8628), Cyber Security (Operations) (8629), or Cyber Security, Strategy and Diplomacy (8631). This unique structure comprises one-third coursework (equal to one year of full-time study) and two-thirds research (equivalent to two years of full-time study), potentially exploring topics discovered during coursework. Designed to cultivate top-tier professionals, the program empowers graduates to advance the interdisciplinary field of cyber security. Excellence in cyber security practice demands ongoing enhancement of knowledge to address growing information security challenges. Such expertise requires substantial experience, comprehensive understanding of professional knowledge, and robust research capabilities. The coursework component establishes this foundational expertise, building upon prior education and work experience. Through the thesis component, seasoned practitioners develop the research abilities needed to meaningfully advance cyber security practices and knowledge.
