Gender Studies examines the role of gender and sexuality across diverse cultural settings and historical periods. The curriculum explores how gender interacts with key societal factors including age, social class, ability, ethnicity, and worldwide interconnectedness. Coursework investigates concepts of femininity, masculinity, and sexual identity through in-depth analysis of various theoretical perspectives, real-world examples, and media representations. As a transdisciplinary field, Gender Studies incorporates expertise from scholars across the Faculty, allowing students to cultivate distinctive research methodologies blending approaches from both Arts and Social Sciences.
