The Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) program enhances the Victorian College of the Arts' renowned legacy in performance-oriented dance training.
This program cultivates physically adept, culturally conscious dance practitioners through specialized instruction in diverse contemporary dance techniques, dance science, somatics, critical dance theory, choreography, and performance.
Within a dynamic learning environment, students develop the technical proficiency, movement awareness, and creative adaptability required for professional dance careers. Performance opportunities include original works by established Australian and international choreographers, along with repertoire studies that foster connections within the dance industry. The curriculum offers flexibility, enabling students to select dance electives or explore other artistic disciplines at VCA. Additionally, students may pursue electives beyond VCA to prepare for alternative career paths like dance education.
