The Bachelor of Arts (Honours Degree) represents an additional year of specialized study designed for outstanding undergraduate students. This honours program allows you to deepen your expertise in your chosen field. More rigorous than a standard bachelor's degree, the BA (Honours) provides extensive Arts offerings across humanities, social sciences, and languages while cultivating advanced research capabilities and analytical thinking. Students develop original concepts and learn to implement creative approaches to challenging issues. The program offers options for single-discipline specialization (pure honours) or dual-discipline focus (combined honours).

Gender Studies examines the role of gender and sexuality across diverse cultural settings, identities, and historical periods. The curriculum explores how gender interacts with critical factors including social class, age, ability, ethnicity, and worldwide interconnectedness. Through engagement with various theoretical perspectives, case studies, and media representations, courses investigate concepts of femininity, masculinity, and sexual identity. As a transdisciplinary field, Gender Studies incorporates expertise from scholars across the Faculty, enabling students to acquire distinctive research methodologies that bridge Arts and Social Sciences approaches.
