The Master of Optometry is a two-year graduate program designed to equip students with specialized expertise, hands-on clinical training, and professional competencies in the field of optometry.
This curriculum integrates cutting-edge research and technological advancements, having been collaboratively designed by faculty members, practicing professionals, and representatives from both global optometry corporations and private practices.
The Master of Optometry (374JA) is only open to students who have completed the Bachelor of Vision Science (372JA) at the University of Canberra.
Applicants who are studying a Bachelor of Vision Science from another institution are encouraged to apply for admission into the Bachelor of Vision Science (372JA) at UC to become eligible for the Masters. These applicants are eligible to apply for consideration of credit towards a UC Bachelor of Vision Science (in accordance with UC's credit policy and procedure) to reduce the duration of this course.
To be eligible you must have an overall IELTS Academic score (or equivalent) of 7.0, with no band score below 7.0. TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 94 with: R: 24; L: 24 S: 23; W: 27; Pearson Test of Academic English: 65 with no skill score below 65; Cambridge English Scale: 185 with no sub-score below 185; Occupational English Test: No grade lowers than 'B' in any of the sub-tests.
