The Bachelor of Education program prepares you for teaching careers in Australia and internationally. This research-backed curriculum builds upon the Faculty of Education's expertise in developing teacher training that addresses both local and global educational needs.
The initial year establishes a strong foundation with comprehensive instruction in literacy, numeracy, subject knowledge, and current educational challenges.
Throughout the four-year full-time program (or accelerated 3.5-year option), you'll study essential topics including Indigenous education, environmental sustainability, inclusive education practices, and teaching methodologies across various subjects.
Australian primary and secondary education students must pass the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students (LANTITE) before their second teaching placement.
Full-time students beginning in year 2 may need to study year-round (January to December across 6 terms) during certain years of the program.
