You will earn a Bachelor of Education (Honours) specializing in Primary and Secondary Inclusive and Special Education. Every learner has the right to thrive in an inclusive, supportive educational setting. This specialization provides you with the expertise and practical experience needed to help children and teenagers with diverse needs achieve their highest potential. You'll be prepared to educate students aged 5 to 18 in both mainstream and specialized primary and secondary schools. By acquiring specialized knowledge and techniques for addressing varied learning requirements in modern classrooms, you'll master diverse teaching methods to support all students, including those with significant disabilities. At the primary level, you'll gain insights into how young children learn, including those with disabilities, and how to adapt regular classroom settings across all primary subjects. You'll expand your understanding of cross-curricular priorities and key subject areas such as: English and literacy, mathematics and numeracy, arts, humanities, science, digital technologies, and health/physical education – with special emphasis on inclusive teaching practices.
