Worldwide food and livestock production sectors are confronting growing obstacles that affect both food availability and accessibility. With rising threats from pests and diseases spreading unintentionally through global commerce and transportation, biosecurity has become essential for shielding our food distribution networks. Build comprehensive knowledge about food security fundamentals, including its foundational principles and current/future obstacles. Your primary emphasis will be on comprehending the long-range perspective and tactics needed to guarantee continuous food security for current and coming generations, accomplished through environmentally responsible means. You'll examine global policies supporting food security and trade, while exploring strategies for sustainable food cultivation, protection, and distribution to meet present and future needs.
Completion of an AQF level 7 qualification, in the plant, food, ecological, environmental or animal sciences or an equivalent field as determined by the Academic Chair.
English Language requirements: IELTS overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0; CAE - 169 overall with no band below 169; PTE - 61 with no band below 54; TOEFL IBT - 79 with no band less than 18; Occupational English Test (OET) - C+ (300-340) in each of the four components, (before September 2018) - Two Bs and two Cs in each of the four components.
