While preparing graduates for professional careers, it also serves as a foundation for pursuing Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy degrees through coursework or research. The Clayton honors program covers most scientific disciplines available in the Bachelor of Science at the Clayton campus, combining seminar-based coursework with a significant research component. Science graduates find career opportunities across diverse sectors including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, environmental consulting, healthcare, mining, and food technology. Potential employers range from government agencies like the Department of Sustainability and Environment to research organizations such as CSIRO, as well as educational institutions and private industries.
