Each PhD candidate in Information Technology will be assigned a primary supervisor from IISRI's full-time academic staff, selected for their research expertise. Additional associate supervisors, either from within or outside the institution, will support this primary supervisor. Candidates must fulfill specific attendance obligations and submit a thesis presenting original research in their chosen specialization. The program facilitates introductions between students and potential supervisors to develop suitable research proposals. Typically spanning two to four years of full-time study (or part-time equivalent), the PhD can be pursued either on-campus or through online learning.
