Investigate diverse perspectives on political, social, and modern technological challenges through guided academic research in the Doctor of Philosophy – Information Technology program. Under the mentorship of our globally recognized faculty in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment, you'll conduct in-depth studies to gain comprehensive expertise in one or more specialized fields.
Through producing an original thesis that makes a significant scholarly contribution, you'll establish yourself as a leading authority in your chosen domain while enhancing professional opportunities.
The PhD program typically spans two to four years of full-time study (or part-time equivalent), with flexible online or on-campus options. Our team will connect you with potential supervisors to help develop your research proposal.
To be considered for selection into a Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) degree, you are required to have completed either:
a research project in a related area including a thesis which is equivalent to at least 25% of a year's full-time study at Level 8 or 9 of the Australian Qualifications Framework with achievement of a grade for the project equivalent to a Deakin grade of 70% or equivalent
a higher degree by research (HDR) in a related area
