To earn a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science (Honours) degree, students need to complete 8 credit points, which includes two research-focused coursework units covering methodology and key issues, along with an independent research project. Those studying part-time must finish the coursework during their initial year. Presenting at the School Honours Conference is mandatory. Additionally, all new undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Health must take the DAI001 Academic Integrity and Respect at Deakin course (a 0-credit-point compulsory unit) during their first trimester.

completion of a bachelor degree or higher or major in a related discipline with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 65 in third year units, or where relevant, final year units

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) English Units 3 and 4: Study score of 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or 25 in any other English
