Advance your professional journey with an in-depth study of exercise science and clinical exercise physiology. Over four years plus one additional term, you'll earn both a Bachelor of Applied Exercise Science and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology. This dual-degree program delves into human performance science and the therapeutic application of exercise for rehabilitation and prevention, preparing you to treat both healthy individuals and those with chronic conditions across two specialized fields. Exercise science professionals focus on designing and implementing exercise programs to boost overall wellness and athletic achievement. They integrate knowledge from various disciplines like biomechanics, motor function, and exercise programming to create health-enhancing initiatives for individuals and communities. Clinical exercise physiologists build upon this foundation, employing exercise as both a treatment and preventive measure for numerous chronic illnesses, including cancer, musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular diseases, metabolic conditions, respiratory issues, neurological disorders, and mental health challenges. This program meets the accreditation standards for practicing as both an exercise scientist and/or clinical exercise physiologist. Graduates can pursue diverse career opportunities in hospitals, private clinics, aged care facilities, mental health centers, and corporate health and rehabilitation programs.
