The Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Physiology) equips students with essential expertise and practical training to implement exercise and behavioral modification approaches for chronic disease prevention and treatment. This program is ideal for individuals seeking in-depth knowledge of exercise physiology, covering topics like musculoskeletal anatomy, neuroscience, and rehabilitation. Through hands-on clinical practice, you'll work with diverse clients in various healthcare environments.
This undergraduate degree offers comprehensive training in exercise physiology, preparing you with the skills and clinical exposure needed to develop exercise and lifestyle interventions for chronic conditions. Over four years, you'll study core subjects such as musculoskeletal anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology, nutrition, and clinical exercise programming, along with electives from different academic areas.
The program includes over 550 hours of clinical and community placements during the last two years, plus a community project in the final year. High-achieving students may be invited to pursue an embedded honors pathway during the concluding three semesters.
