Speech therapists assess, manage, and offer care for individuals with communication challenges, encompassing speech, language, vocal, fluency issues, or those experiencing eating and swallowing difficulties throughout all life stages.

You'll develop an in-depth knowledge of communication growth, both developmental and acquired communication/swallowing disorders, along with clinical applications and research methods. Practical fieldwork experiences will complement your learning.

The program incorporates foundational theoretical concepts connected to evidence-based practice, along with research training to develop clinically competent, research-informed practitioners.

Applicants with an honours degree or a bachelor degree with a course weighted average of 65% are eligible for entry to the program. The application process is competitive and typically successful applicants have demonstrated a distinction average.

Evidence of studies in human biology at university level is essential. Applicants without this background will have to complete additional units in this area before commencing the course.
