Speech therapists assist individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. They specialize in aiding young children (0-5 years) with speech and language developmental challenges; offering expert assistance to students experiencing language, learning, and literacy difficulties; designing recovery plans for adults with brain injuries; helping those with complex medical, developmental, and acquired conditions like autism, cleft palate, and dementia to improve communication and swallowing abilities; and collaborating with various professionals to enhance vocal performance.
The Master's program in Speech and Language Pathology equips students for a fulfilling career in speech therapy, enabling them to provide customized care for people with both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders, creating opportunities for transformative improvements in their lives.
