This honors program allows you to deepen your expertise in selected scientific fields: applied geology, chemistry, computer science, environmental and agricultural studies, geographic information systems, mathematics, physics, or geophysics.
Building upon your undergraduate science education, this honors program strengthens your specialized knowledge. You'll explore subjects within your chosen field – whether applied geology, chemistry, computer science, environmental and agricultural studies, geographic information systems, mathematics, physics, or geophysics – while developing research methodologies, analytical capabilities, and creative thinking. The program includes a guided research project culminating in an honors thesis.
The Environment and Agriculture Honors specialization equips students with essential research skills specific to these interconnected fields. Participants will master applying scientific theories, techniques, and approaches to research projects, gain proficiency in processing and interpreting scientific data, and learn to effectively present findings through both written reports and oral presentations.
