The Master of Research program provides you with essential skills for conducting high-caliber research – abilities that are highly sought after in both academic and professional settings. Tailored for individuals looking to enhance their existing qualifications and specialize in their chosen discipline, this program blends structured coursework with an independent research component. During the initial phase of your studies, you'll establish a solid foundation in research techniques. This coursework segment covers critical methodologies and research approaches, including subjects like research methods, effective communication, and stakeholder engagement. In the subsequent phase, you'll apply this knowledge through hands-on experience. With mentorship from an experienced research supervisor, you'll develop, execute, and finalize an original research project aligned with your academic or professional interests. You will need to demonstrate that your prior qualifications are in a discipline relevant to the proposed area of research – unless an exemption is approved by the Pro Vice Chancellor: Research Training (or delegate).
Please note that admission to a research degree at Adelaide University is conditional on the availability of a suitable supervisory panel and resources to support the proposed project.
