The Master of Commerce (Finance) constitutes Years 1 and 2 of the 5-year Doctoral Program in Finance and is exclusively offered to students enrolled in the doctoral track.
This program equips graduates with comprehensive expertise in finance and quantitative methods through intensive training, preparing them to conduct top-tier research. Upon graduation, students will achieve the following competencies: Exhibit mastery of core financial concepts;
Articulate and analyze key financial theories encompassing fundamental principles, investment strategies, and derivative instruments; Interpret empirical findings from studies testing major financial theories;
Provide insightful critiques of research outcomes across financial disciplines; and Cultivate analytical, technical, and innovative capabilities to formulate and assess sophisticated finance research problems.
