The Graduate Certificate in Counselling offers an entry point into counselling, providing students with core skills and fundamental knowledge. Ideal for those with an unrelated bachelor's degree, this program builds essential competencies for helping professions or serves as a stepping stone to advanced counselling qualifications. Completing this certificate grants direct admission to ACAP's Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy program. ACAP has accredited this course through its self-accrediting authority.
International students must meet the following criteria:
Completion of an undergraduate degree in any field from an accredited institute of higher education; OR
Completion of a Higher Education Advanced Diploma and relevant work experience; OR
Completion of an Associate Degree in a similar field of study and relevant work experience

Minimum English Language Requirements
To be accepted into the program, international students who have not completed a Year 12 or equivalent secondary school level qualification or higher qualification in the English language consistent with the requirements for admission to an AQF Level 7 degree course in Australia must have a minimum score of 6.5 or higher in each component (listening, reading, writing and speaking) of the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test, or equivalent, upon application.
