The Early Childhood associate degree program prepares you for associate-level licensure in pre-K education. This qualification enables you to teach or oversee licensed daycare and preschool facilities. Throughout the program, you'll explore early childhood development extensively and complete coursework focused on effective classroom engagement with preschool-aged children. Beyond developmental studies, you'll gain expertise in classroom management techniques and cultivating relationships with both parents and fellow professionals.
Applicants must have graduated from high school or have successfully completed the General Education Development (GED) test to be considered for admission. Freshman applicants applying for admission to Youngstown State University must submit a high school transcript and American College Test (ACT) or Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) scores.
