The Oncology specialization equips current MSN students with essential knowledge and skills for advanced nursing practice in adult cancer care. This program combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical training. Students can engage in research projects with faculty members, which we strongly recommend. Available to Adult/Gerontology Acute Care, Adult/Gerontology Primary Care, and Family Nurse Practitioner students, this concentration requires Psychiatric-Mental Health, Pediatric (Primary/Acute Care), and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner students to seek coordinator approval before applying to confirm clinical placement availability. Note: Nurse-Midwifery and dual Nurse-Midwifery/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner students are ineligible for this program.
