The Gender and Sexuality Health Justice focus area prepares MSN students during their specialization years to understand healthcare inequalities faced by LGBTQI+ individuals, examining these issues through perspectives of racial and economic fairness.
This program covers LGBTQI+ primary healthcare, surgical and hormonal gender affirmation treatments, addiction services, trauma-sensitive approaches, HIV management, worldwide fairness in healthcare, reproductive services, disability rights, intersex medical needs, and community health evaluations for LGBTQI+ populations. Available to students specializing in Adult/Gerontology Acute Care, Adult/Gerontology Primary Care, Family Practice, Women's Health/Midwifery, Pediatric Primary Care, Pediatric Acute Care, and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner programs.
