Students at YDS have the opportunity to pursue a combined M.S.W. degree in collaboration with the University of Connecticut's School of Social Work. Those enrolled in this dual-degree initiative can potentially transfer credits equivalent to one semester's workload between institutions to fulfill requirements for both programs. Typically, completing both degrees together takes less time (often reducing the timeline by one year) compared to pursuing them separately. The programs may align field education/supervised ministry components. Prospective M.Div./M.S.W. candidates are advised to submit their UConn applications when the fall admission cycle begins.

The application must be complete in order to be properly filed through our online system. It includes: a completed online application, personal statement, writing sample, transcripts of all previous academic work (both graduate and undergraduate), three letters of recommendation, IELTS test scores for those whom English is a second language (minimum score of 7), and the application fee.2.
