The PhD program's core objective is to equip scholars with the foundational knowledge and methodological expertise needed to advance research in public health measurement, preservation, and enhancement. Doctoral candidates explore diverse research areas such as: cancer epidemiology, clinical trials, cardiovascular disorders, molecular epidemiology, insect-transmitted illnesses, parasitology, psychiatric epidemiology, and HIV/AIDS studies. The program fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration, encouraging students to partner with faculty across the university, as EPH research frequently spans multiple academic disciplines.
Applicants must have completed your undergraduate degree (bachelor's or equivalent) or will have completed it prior to your intended matriculation date at Yale.
