Physics research has uncovered a universe deeply interconnected through a concise framework of core principles and fundamental natural forces. These principles regulate everything from quantum particles to galactic movements, establishing physics as the cornerstone of all physical and biological sciences. During their initial two years, students must finish six core classes, one specialized elective, two research workshops, and an independent project. Our core curriculum includes classical dynamics, electromagnetism, mathematical techniques, quantum physics, and thermodynamics. For their specialized elective, students can select from numerous course options.
Applicants must have completed your undergraduate degree (bachelor's or equivalent) or will have completed it prior to your intended matriculation date at Yale.
