The Yale School of Music's harp program provides instruction in solo and ensemble performance, along with teaching and extracurricular activities. Through individual lessons and regular studio workshops, students are urged to discover diverse musical pieces. Those studying harp engage in chamber music, a key component of YSM's curriculum, frequently performing in different group arrangements during New Music New Haven events. Additionally, harpists join the Yale Philharmonia orchestra, gaining valuable orchestral training across various musical styles while collaborating with renowned visiting conductors.
