Yale School of Music's tuba program maintains an intimate, concentrated approach within the brass department's cooperative setting. Tuba students receive weekly one-on-one instruction and attend group seminar classes. Beyond solo performances, they engage in chamber music, a cornerstone of the Yale musical experience. Participants also perform with diverse ensembles in the New Music New Haven series and join the Yale Philharmonia orchestra. These activities expose students to an extensive range of musical works while working with renowned visiting conductors.
