The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (E&EB) provides comprehensive training in biological sciences, encompassing topics from molecular and cellular levels to entire organisms, ecosystems, and the evolutionary mechanisms influencing them. Students can pursue either a B.S. or B.A. degree. The B.S. track prepares those aiming for advanced studies in ecology, evolutionary biology, related fields, or professional programs like medicine, dentistry, or veterinary science. The B.A. program caters to students seeking a broader understanding of ecological and evolutionary concepts within a liberal arts framework, or those pursuing a dual major. Both programs share foundational prerequisites, introductory coursework, and core curriculum but vary in elective options and senior-year expectations.
Applicants must have a completion of high school.
Applicants will have IELTS scores of 7.0 or higher and Pearson Test scores of 70 or higher. TOEFL scores of at least the following: 100 on the internet-based TOEFL; 25 on the paper-and-paper TOEFL Paper-delivered Test.
