The Yale School of Music's harp program provides instruction in solo performance, group playing, teaching, and non-concert activities. Through individual lessons and regular studio workshops, learners are motivated to discover an extensive range of musical pieces. Participants engage in chamber music, a core component of YSM's curriculum, frequently performing in diverse group arrangements during the New Music New Haven events. Additionally, harpists join the Yale Philharmonia orchestra, gaining valuable orchestral training across various musical styles while collaborating with renowned visiting conductors.

Qualification Requirements
Request recommendations from two teachers who have taught you in core academic subjects (e.g. English, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies) who know you well, and who have seen you at your best. It is preferable, but not required, that recommendations come from teachers who have taught you during your final or next-to-final year of secondary school.
