The Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies major, overseen by the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures, provides an interdisciplinary examination of an extensive region encompassing Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Poland, Hungary, the Czech and Slovak Republics, and other parts of East Central Europe and the Balkans. RSEE majors can focus specifically on Russian Studies or explore East European or Eurasian Studies. This program prepares students for careers in international policy, diplomacy, or business, while also serving those pursuing advanced academic research.
