The East Asian Studies major allows students to specialize in a specific East Asian nation or region while focusing on either humanities or social sciences. This program provides a well-rounded education that effectively prepares graduates for advanced academic pursuits or professional careers requiring deep knowledge of East Asia. As an interdisciplinary field, East Asian Studies encourages students to take courses across multiple academic disciplines. All study plans must receive approval from the director of undergraduate studies (DUS).
Applicants must have a completion of high school.
Applicants will have IELTS scores of 7.0 or higher and Pearson Test scores of 70 or higher. TOEFL scores of at least the following: 100 on the internet-based TOEFL; 25 on the paper-and-paper TOEFL Paper-delivered Test.
