The integrated BA/MA program enables exceptional undergraduates to fast-track their Master's in Asian Studies. Qualified candidates can earn their MA up to one year faster through this accelerated pathway. Those enrolled in the Asian Studies Honors program are especially well-suited for this opportunity.
Applicants must have completed at least 75 undergraduate credits at FIU and satisfy all graduate program admission requirements. Only one application is required for this combined degree option, typically submitted to Graduate Admissions before beginning the final 30 credits of the bachelor's program.
Participants maintain undergraduate status until applying for bachelor's degree graduation. After receiving their bachelor's degree, students transition to graduate status and become eligible for assistantships. A maximum of specified graduate-level courses (5000+) may count toward both degrees, as outlined in the program catalog.
