The Yale School of Music's oboe program provides comprehensive instruction in solo, ensemble, and orchestral performance, along with specialized studies in reed crafting and teaching methods. Students receive individual coaching, participate in weekly masterclasses, and are motivated to expand their musical horizons by engaging with diverse styles from Baroque to modern compositions. Beyond solo work, oboists collaborate in chamber groups—a cornerstone of the Yale musical education.
