The College of Nursing and Health provides a four-year undergraduate program that awards a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.). Upon completion, graduates qualify to take the NCLEX-RN licensing exam. Nursing professionals support patients and families across all life stages in both local and global settings. Career opportunities range from neonatal units to geriatric care facilities, and from school health clinics to international organizations like the WHO. The nursing curriculum equips students to engage in health-related research and enhance medical practices. With partnerships spanning 200+ local institutions—including hospitals, rehab centers, public health departments, long-term care facilities, schools, senior centers, and childcare programs—students gain hands-on clinical training and research opportunities. The program combines classroom instruction in nursing theory with practical clinical rotations covering health evaluations, maternal-child health, pediatric care, adult medicine, public health, psychiatric nursing, and specialized care scenarios. Students accumulate more than 950 hours of combined clinical, lab, and simulation experience. Course schedules, including clinical rotations, may include daytime, evening, or weekend options depending on availability.
