The Wright State Motion Pictures program's faculty, students, and alumni have earned recognition from nearly every prestigious industry award, including honors from both the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Our exceptional team of film professionals is committed to educating the next generation of leaders in film production, as well as in film studies encompassing history, theory, and critical analysis.
The program provides two distinct degree paths. The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Motion Picture Production is a competitive program offering specialized training for careers in filmmaking while nurturing creative development and cinematic understanding. Alternatively, the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Motion Picture History, Theory, and Criticism merges comprehensive liberal arts education with focused study of film's artistic, cultural, political, and historical dimensions.
