Progress through your career journey flexibly: Choose full-time or part-time study, with courses available during fall, spring, and summer semesters in various formats—in-person, online, or hybrid. Our distinguished program also offers outstanding affordability. Notably, students completing WSU's Post-Baccalaureate Certificate for Initial Teacher Licensure in Middle or Secondary School Education can apply four courses toward their M.Ed.
Through coursework in both your discipline and education, you'll develop a powerful combination of subject mastery and secondary teaching strategies, deepening your understanding of adolescent development. You'll also research classroom-relevant topics, designing your own proposal and executing the project with faculty mentorship.
Our alumni pursue fulfilling roles as high school educators, department chairs, and curriculum specialists. This master's degree can accelerate your professional growth and may serve as a stepping stone to professional educator licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
