With growing climate challenges, grasping earth systems and their connection to human activity is increasingly crucial. The Geography Major lets you examine weather patterns, terrain features, and water systems while exploring how societal factors like global integration, population trends, city growth, and cultural identity formation influence our planet's landscape and climate. You'll gain valuable analytical and critical thinking abilities applicable to diverse scientific, environmental, and policy-focused professions. These concepts come to life through practical work in our Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and earth science labs, as well as through external internships or research projects with community partners. High-achieving students may qualify for Gamma Theta Upsilon, the global geography honor society.
