This program is tailored for registered nurses with a Master's degree in nursing who seek certification as Family Nurse Practitioners. Participants will undertake both theoretical and practical coursework required to qualify for the Family Nurse Practitioner certification exams (offered by either the American Association of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center).
The Post-Master's Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program mandates 680 hours of practical training. Additionally, students who haven't completed a graduate-level role course must take NUR 5081, The Role of the APN (3 credits), as a prerequisite.
