Wichita State's undergraduate certificate in Great Plains Studies unites students and community members in discovering the Great Plains Region. Through science and cultural studies courses, you'll examine both the environmental and human dimensions of this area. To earn the 15-credit certificate, you must select a minimum of two physical science courses (biology or geology) and two cultural studies courses (English, anthropology, or history). Adult learners not pursuing a degree are also eligible for this program.

For this option, the SAT or ACT is NOT required for admission.
This option is for students who have already graduated from high school (or will soon graduate from high school).
Students who have attended another college or university will be considered for transfer admission -- even if they do not want transfer credit from their previous school.
Students who have completed AP, IB, or Cambridge A or AS level curriculum are eligible to receive transfer credit.
Students must submit final high school transcripts.
You must submit your official final high school transcript as soon as it is available. If you do not submit your final official transcript to us by the end of your first semester at Wichita State University,
you will not be allowed to enroll for subsequent terms.
