Fairhaven College's Interdisciplinary Concentration with a Law, Diversity & Justice Emphasis enables students to craft a personalized Bachelor of Arts degree program. This flexible approach empowers learners to combine multiple academic disciplines into a unified course of study that aligns with their professional aspirations and intellectual passions.

Through the self-designed concentration process, students collaborate with faculty advisors to create a well-reasoned academic plan. This plan may incorporate traditional coursework, independent research, capstone projects, and practical experiences like internships. Guidance is available through faculty mentorship and the FAIR 303A Concentration Seminar. The approved Concentration Proposal, including both a rationale statement and course list, serves as the official degree roadmap after review by the Concentration Committee and submission to Fairhaven College Records. This academic plan must include at least 36 credits completed over three quarters following the concentration approval.

As students near graduation, they complete both a senior project and a comprehensive self-assessment, allowing them to reflect on their academic journey and plan their next steps.
