Creating art is an untidy, uncertain, and unconventional process. Art instruction can help students accept life's disorderly, uncertain, and unconventional aspects. The Bachelor of Art Education, Elementary (BAE, Elementary) program combines artistic creation and appreciation to investigate the dynamic connection between material experimentation, visual and cultural understanding, and personal artistic expression. Theory and practice merge in art education as we collaboratively teach and learn, utilizing contemporary, interconnected teaching approaches to help each student cultivate their distinct educational philosophy.

The BAE, Elementary program fulfills the academic major requirement for teacher certification with an elementary education endorsement and must be completed alongside the professional elementary education curriculum.
