Western Michigan University's marriage, couple and family counseling program equips students with hands-on skills to address these concerns and beyond. Developed jointly with the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, the curriculum focuses on contemporary relationship and family dynamics.
This comprehensive 60-credit program combines essential counseling coursework with specialized training in family systems theory for therapeutic intervention.
For practical experience, graduate students can utilize two department-run clinics located in Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. Additionally, WMU maintains strong partnerships with numerous local school counseling programs that serve as practicum sites.
