This intensive program provides comprehensive training in school psychology, covering legal, ethical, and professional standards alongside practical skills in assessment, intervention strategies, counseling, and consultation. The curriculum highlights key focus areas such as social justice principles, data-driven decision making, behavioral analysis techniques, trauma-sensitive approaches, and social-emotional learning development. Through hands-on practicum and internship opportunities, students gain the necessary competencies to deliver psychological services within educational environments. Graduates qualify for Indiana school psychologist licensure and meet requirements for certification in most other states. The vast majority of alumni secure positions as school psychologists in public or charter school systems, with some pursuing opportunities in private educational institutions.
A baccalaureate (bachelor’s) degree, requiring four years of full-time study or equivalent, from a college or university holding full regional or national accreditation, is required for admission to all graduate programs. Applicants with a bachelor's degree from an institution holding only state accreditation may be granted conditional admission if their other application credentials are strong. Applicants in the last semester of a four-year undergraduate program may be granted conditional admission until such time as the baccalaureate degree has been awarded.
