Western Michigan University's combined physical and health education teacher training program equips future educators with K-12 certification in both disciplines. This dual-degree program focuses on developing students' abilities, understanding, and practical experience to become skilled, knowledgeable, and dedicated professionals promoting physical and health literacy in modern communities.
The program holds national recognition as an accredited curriculum through the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education.
A first-year applicant is a student who is applying for admission and who has not attempted or earned any college credit after graduating from high school/secondary school (or earned equivalent).
