Graduates with registered dietitian credentials can pursue careers across diverse settings including healthcare institutions, educational dining services from K-12 to university levels, senior care facilities, food service operations, food production companies, government nutrition initiatives, military and veteran healthcare systems, public health organizations, as well as research and academic institutions.
Western Michigan University offers an ACEND-accredited Bachelor of Science program in nutrition and dietetics through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.
A first-year applicant is a student who is applying for admission and who has not attempted or earned any college credit after graduating from high school/secondary school (or earned equivalent).
