Western Michigan University's mathematics education program features courses centered on mathematical concepts, learner cognition, instructional strategies, and technology integration. As a mathematics education student at WMU, you'll complete fieldwork that enables you to evaluate student reasoning, implement diverse teaching methods, assess comprehension, and utilize technology to enhance learning outcomes.
A first-year applicant is a student who is applying for admission and who has not attempted or earned any college credit after graduating from high school/secondary school (or earned equivalent).
