The Chemistry Department provides Master of Science (MS) degree programs through both Thesis and Applied Chemistry tracks. These programs equip graduate students for doctoral studies, professional development, or direct entry into high-level roles across government, industry, and education sectors. Designed for chemistry majors and related disciplines, it also enables students with chemistry minors to advance their expertise and secure positions in the field. Additionally, the department offers professional development opportunities for practicing chemists and educators not pursuing the MS degree. Over the last three decades, the Chemistry Department has experienced significant expansion, with emerging applications in biotechnology, materials science, medicine, nanotechnology, environmental health, sustainable energy, and forensic science. Cutting-edge research findings are continuously adapted for real-world implementation.
