The Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration has maintained accreditation from the Council on Accreditation of Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Related Professions since 1978. Along with certifications obtainable through coursework, graduates qualify immediately to take the Certified Park and Recreation Professional exam. Those who complete required courses may also sit for the Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist examination.
Students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration can choose from three combined bachelor's/master's programs: the Master of Science in Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration, Master of Arts in Museum Studies, or Master of Science in Sport Management. These accelerated programs allow high-achieving undergraduates to complete both degrees within five years.
