Biology stands as one of science's most fundamental disciplines, directly impacting human life. Humanity's ongoing survival on Earth hinges significantly on addressing biological challenges. This diverse field spans numerous specialties, from medical studies to environmental systems. Western Illinois University's Biology curriculum gives students comprehensive exposure to the discipline's many branches.
Students can pursue Bachelor of Science degrees through Biology majors (with concentrations in Botany, Environmental Biology, Microbiology, Zoology, Medical Sciences, or Science/Biology Teacher Education) or Clinical Laboratory Science. The program also offers minors in Botany, Horticulture, Microbiology, Middle Level Science Teaching, and Zoology.
